Bless My Soul 0:250:00/0:25
Known for his smooth tone, butter vocals and high range register, Jason Rutley is a Singer/Songwriter & Producer who's been singing since the age of 8. A native of Pontiac Michigan, Jason grew up with his 4 brothers singing all over Metro Detroit and West Michigan. Jason sharpened his craft for singing, found his voice and learned how to write when the 5 brothers formed the group known as the Rutley Brothers and traveled and recorded locally and throughout the United States. However, in 2008, when the Rutley Brothers all decided to pursue other endeavors of Music, Entertainment, Ministry, Media, and Business, Jason spent the next 5 years learning, writing songs, developing his skills all while continuing to work behind the scenes in the music industry and being featured on 5 studio albums in addition to singing background vocals on several others while trying to figure out what was next for him.
Jason's influences range across several genres. But it's Gospel Legends Commissioned, The Winans, Rev. James Moore, The Williams Brothers, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Mary Mary, Dawkins & Dawkins and The Sounds Of Blackness as well as R&B greats Joe, Mario, Dave Hollister, Brandy Anita Baker as Artists he credits being heavily influenced by. In 2013, having connected on the job with Co-Worker and Detroit native Sean "Lyriq" Matthews (who has worked on songs with Brandy, Ray J, Whitney Houston, Tee Grizzly, 2 Chains, Mya, Cassie, Tierra Mari and more) he wrote, recorded and co-produced his debut single "Always There".
In 2019, the pair reunited for Jason's 2nd single titled "Bless My Soul" (Produced and Co-Written with Lyriq), which garnered a lot of love and was played in rotation on local Detroit FM radio stations 92.3 and 107.5 followed up in 2020 with "Coulda Been Me" (Produced by Lyriq), all of which were Independently released on all online Digital platforms.
The year 2020 also saw Jason take "Centerstage" to sing the National Anthem for the Detroit Pistons home game (and once again in 2021). Soon after, Jason relocated to Metro Phoenix Arizona (at the end of 2021).
But it would also be the year when Lyriq introduced Jason to SiFred "KeyNote" Mitchell ( a former Record Label Executive, Artist, Songwriter & Artist/Entertainment Manager and his Business Partner William Lockwood II (Producer, Songwriter, Executive & Artist Manager), who between the two of them have worked with Artists Joe, Deborah Cox, Mary J. Blige, Chante Moore, Nicci Gilbert of the platinum 90's R&B group Brownstone and many more. After initially meeting and building a relationship and vibing creatively, Jason signed with Mitchell and Lockwood lll's Keynote Entertainment Group & Management in 2022 and began working on what would ultimately become "Bless My Soul" (The Remix Album). With Production once again by Sean "Lyriq" Matthews, EJ's Music, DNALevelC and Walt "BurgerBoy Music" Burger, this collection of remixes of his previously released single of the same name, would push Jason to broaden the scope of his writing skills.
"We have been on quite the journey Creating this project. Especially throughout the height and peak of the Pandemic with challenges and obstacles along the way that overwhelmed us all. However, we've never lost sight on what was God's plan." Each remix was strategically and uniquely Written and Produced to reach multiple genres and fan bases across the globe. Starting with the 2023 release of "Bless My Soul" (Acoustic Remix feat. iAmLyriq), this is just one of several offerings from a Remix Album unlike any other that will TOUCH your heart, MAKE you dance, INSPIRE, UPLIFT, ENCOURAGE, and RENEW your FAITH once it's released in the fall of 2023 to be followed by his Debut Album in 2024.
This is just the beginning of what's to come from and for this Talented Singer/Songwriter and Man of God who will undoubtedly make him one to watch out for in 2024 and in the years to come.
